BENDCHECK measures the straightness of round – pipes, bars and rods in real time

Whether diameter and ovality of steel rods, bars and pipes are precise, and within the required tolerances can already be measured and monitored during the production process. Measuring solutions integrated in the production line supply all the data necessary for a correct quality check for straightness. Measuring Process BENDCHECK
A minimum of 3 measuring heads are used to measure the straightness. In order to detect deviations in all directions, a product twist along the longitudinal axis during the measuring process (rolling process) is acceptable.
The BENDCHECK system determines the bending of round products. It measures the position and diameter of the pipe at 3 different positions along the axis. BENDCHECK calculates the deviation of the position of the middle measuring head from the position of the left and right measuring heads. This value is then either divided by the distance or distance squared, the user can select the formula required to calculate the bend.
The bending of the product is continuously shown on a graph on the display panel. A mini-statistic also shows the 5 maximum bend values in the product currently being measured.
