Founded in 1971 , the company has its headquarters in Coinsins (VD) – Switzerland.
Besides standard products, Serrex has specialized in the production of non-standard tubes with technical plastics such as Teflon ®, polyamides, elastomers, POM, PC, etc. Typical product ranges are up to 40 mm outside diameters with wall thicknesses between 0.3 up to 0.5 mm.

The complete range of products consists of small tubes that would be difficult to manufacture otherwise than by extrusion. The products are successfully used in many different applications such as in the chemical , energy, machinery, medical, watchmaking and mechanical industry. For more than 20 years, the company’s products are also installed in numerous incinerators in many European cities for the recovery of excessive heat (heat exchangers).

Versatility is one of the strengths of Serrex.
Customized production of non-standard parts has indeed gained considerable know-how with a large number of technical plastics. In order to achieve the many international standards for their high-tech tubes , Serrex is using for more than 25 years, measurement and control instruments from ZUMBACH Electronic AG.

The monitoring and measurement of smallest tube dimensions require state-of-the-art instruments, offering the ability to control the process in real time. Instruments in use are ultrasonic eccentricity and wall thickness scanners of the UMAC® series, laser diameter measuring heads of the ODAC® series and UMAC® WALLMASTER data acquisition, processing and display units.

The ease of use, the outstanding measurement accuracy and the rapid reaction time of the ZUMBACH equipment guarantee the compliance with Serrex’ tight product specifications. Furthermore, the in-line measurement and control in real time of the outside diameter, ovality, eccentricity and wall thickness minimizes errors and assure a high process quality.
