ZUMBACH Electronic AG recently concluded a highly successful presence at Wire & Tube 2026, one of the world’s most important international trade fairs for the wire, cable, and tube industries, in Düsseldorf, Germany. We exhibited across two dedicated stands (Wire: Hall 11, Stand D41 and Tube: Hall 5, Stand J12) where we demonstrated ZUMBACH’s continued leadership in industrial measurement, inspection, and process control technologies.
Across both exhibitions, visitors experienced firsthand how our solutions support manufacturers in improving product quality, enhancing process stability, reducing waste, and enabling Industry 4.0-ready production environments.
At the Wire exhibition, we placed a strong emphasis on advanced inspection, quality control, and real-time measurement:
- SIMAC® AI-Driven Surface Inspection – A standout highlight was the new SIMAC® AI-powered surface inspection system. This state-of-the-art solution leverages artificial intelligence algorithms to automatically detect, classify, and evaluate surface defects in real time, including colour anomalies, cracks, scratches, bruises and surface deviations in general, which would otherwise negatively impact profitability and product reliability.
- QC Off-Line Measuring Stations – We also introduced our new QC Off-Line Sample Measuring Stations, designed to set a new benchmark in quality control. These stations deliver fast, accurate, and repeatable measurements for wire, cable, and tube samples, offering production teams an efficient and reliable method for independent quality verification and documentation.
Alongside these innovations, ZUMABCH also showcased several established systems enhanced with new capabilities:
- RAYEX® S X-ray wall thickness measuring system, delivering precise and non-contact wall thickness measurement.
- UMAC® CI ultrasonic wall thickness processor, purpose-built for extrusion lines and capable of measuring and logging wall thickness, eccentricity, and related parameters at up to 1,000 measurements per second per transducer
- ODAC® laser diameter and ovality gauges, featuring the newly introduced ODAC® 18XY model that includes an integrated OPC UA interface, extended defect detection capability, FFT (Fast Fourier Transform) analysis, integrated length and speed measurement and much more!
At the Tube 2026 exhibition, ZUMBACH focused on solutions tailored for tube and profile measurement, demonstrating robust and reliable systems designed for demanding industrial environments. The technologies we displayed included:
- ODAC® laser diameter and ovality measurement systems
- PROFILEMASTER® PMM for precise profile measurement
- PROFILEMASTER® SPS for cold profile measurement
- USYS®- our comprehensive process control and data acquisition system
Together, these solutions demonstrated how ZUMBACH supports manufacturers with precise measurement, centralized data handling, and complete process visibility.
Throughout the exhibition, visitors were invited to attend live product demonstrations, showcasing real-time, non-contact measurement for wire and cable applications in realistic production scenarios. Our team of experts were available for in-depth consultations, discussing customer-specific production challenges and demonstrating how advanced measurement and control solutions can reduce material waste, improve dimensional consistency, and increase throughput and overall equipment efficiency.
A key theme across the Wire stand was digitalization and connectivity. Attendees gained valuable insights into how ZUMBACH systems integrate seamlessly with Industry 4.0 and smart factory environments, enabling data transparency, long-term process optimization, and scalable production architectures.
We also highlighted the long-term value ZUMBACH products and solutions deliver, combining decades of global experience with strong local support, ensuring customers benefit not only from cutting-edge technology, but also from personalized service and long-term partnership.
ZUMBACH Electronic’s dual presence at Wire & Tube 2026 reinforced our role as a trusted technology partner for the wire, cable, and tube industries. By combining innovation, live demonstrations, expert knowledge, and digital readiness, ZUMBACH once again demonstrated our commitment to helping customers meet today’s production challenges, and prepare for tomorrow’s manufacturing demands.
We thank everyone who visited us over the duration of the exhibition, and for those who were unable to attend, ZUMBACH’s global team remains available to discuss solutions, demonstrate systems, and explore how advanced measurement and process control can elevate production performance.
