February 11-13 2025 saw the second staging of the renowned Wire Mexico trade fair focused on the wire and cable industry, as well as the first ever staging of Tube Mexico. Held at Cintermex, a prominent convention and exhibition center located in Monterrey, Mexico, the event featured over 140 exhibitors showcasing innovative, sustainable, and digital production methods, and we proudly showcased our range of Zumbach technology at this show for the first time. The position of our booth at the intersection of the Wire and Tube sections, was a significant benefit to us, opening up potential opportunities across both industries.

The exhibition ran for 3 days, and over this time, we spoke to a huge number of industry professionals with notable opportunities from companies as local as Monterrey and across Mexico, to further flung destinations such as Brazil and Argentina. Mexico is at the cornerstone of interest from all over the world, given its close proximity to the American marketplace, having easy access to both Atlantic and Pacific oceans, as well as having a thriving national profile with industrial sectors such as automotive, medical and wire and cable markets. Manufacturing that currently have established facilities in Mexico include Leoni, Coficab, Cikautxo, Akwell, Kyungshin Cables, GG Cables, Continental and ABB to name a few.

Our team in industry professionals was led by our Director of Sales from the USA, Jorge Lage, who presented a range of in-line measuring solutions including:

  • UMACĀ® WALLMASTER - which enables measurement of wall thicknesses around the circumference of flat and round conductors using our proven ultrasonic measuring principle, whilst providing continuous monitoring and trend analysis.
  • ODACĀ® Laser Measuring Heads - offering non-contact measurement of height and width of wires and cables with the highest level of precision thanks to our laser measurement technology, and adjustable oscillation angle when used in conjunction with the DVW 1 / DVO 2 oscillation devices.
  • PROFILEMASTERĀ® PMM - providing non-contact measurement of dimensions and geometry using the latest light-section measuring technology.

We made contact with a large number of industry professional, leading to many meaningful conversations about current and future opportunities, and as such, the exhibition was very successful, and will now feature on our annual events calendar moving forward.
